Play time!

Week 6

This week started with a trip to the doctor where we were able to get a prescription for Zantac to help with Grant's reflux. So far it has been helping in terms of his pain but not in the spit up department. We can live with messy clothes as long as he feels ok!

The week ended with a visit from cousins Bob, Lori, Nicole and Sean (oh and I can't forget Ike's Golden Retriever cousin King :-)

Week 5

While Jimmie was away this weekend in AZ, my good friend Amanda visited from Dallas to help with Grant.  Amanda has two precious boys, so she was full of great tips and advice!  I don't know what I would have done without her while Jimmie was gone!  Thanks Amanda!

Happy St. Patty's Day and happy one month birthday Grant!

That is right, our lil' man is already one month old! In the past week he has outgrown his newborn clothes, met his Uncle Casey and Aunt Niki, taken his first real bath (his umbilical cord stump was a stubborn one and did not want to fall off) and according to Jimmie, started to crawl (well more like scooch himself across Jimmie's chest). Also this week, we started putting together some signs that Grant is having some tummy issues. While I think it could be acid reflux (thank you Internet), I have not had it confirmed by a doctor. But just in case it is, I am experimenting with eliminating all cow's milk products from my diet as that has shown to be tough for lil' ones to digest. So, now we just wait a few weeks to see if it is making a difference (vanilla almond milk is amazing by the way!).

Earlier in the week Grant had to say goodbye to his Nana and PaPa who were visiting from Texas.

Nana, PaPa and Auntie Sherri all agreed that Grant looks a lot like Pedro (Jimmie) did as a baby. Here are two pictures of Jimmie from 1978. What do you all think?

Has it really almost been 2 weeks?

Tomorrow Grant will be two weeks old. I can't believe how fast the time has gone! In the these two weeks lil' man has gained over a pound, gone through over 125 diapers and has won the hearts of everyone he has met!

The pictures below show how much he has changed within the last week. The first picture was taken today (3/1) and the second was from last Saturday (2/25). He is most definitely filling out!
