Splish splash!

We realized we hadn't posted a bath picture yet.  Here is Grant enjoying his Wash Pod.  While it makes him happy to sit in a pot of warm water, it isn't the easiest for mom and dad to clean him in!  Also, an update from the four week check up: everything is looking good, he is in the 97th percentile for height (25 inches) and the 67th for weight (12lbs 7oz).  The shots were not fun, but he was feeling better by the next morning.  In addition to the yucky shots, the doctor removed a granulom from his belly button.  It didn't hurt, but we have a silver bellied baby!

"The Grump"

When Grant isn't getting his way, this is what we see.  We call it Grant's Grump face.  He can pout like no other!

Just cruisin'

This Sunday we joined our friends the Fisers for an electric boat ride around Lake Union. Grant did great, just waking up at the end to grab a bite to eat and a look at the beautiful scenery.
Today Grant turns 2 month old! His eyes are wide open now focusing on all sorts of objects. His favorite is his face as he hasn't met a mirror that didn't make him smile! On Thursday we go in for his 2 month checkup. We aren't looking forward to the shots, but excited to hear how much he has grown!

Tummy time and rolling over?

This afternoon we had some tummy time on the play mat. He is doing such a good job lifting his head and chest up. I just wasn't expecting the last move...

Hello sunshine!

Hope everyone had a nice Easter! Ours was simple but nice, a picnic in the park under the shining sun. For those familiar with the northwest, sunny/warm days are normally saved for July and August so one in April is fantastic! We weren't sure how Grant would take to the sun, but he LOVED it! Must be the California and Texas genes in him! In addition to a nice Easter, I had a girls day out on Saturday which meant Jimmie had a 15 hour daddy day. He and Grant did great, but boy did I miss them!
